A: The core process mainly includes 4 steps: PCB bare board inspection → DIP insertion (for through-hole components) → soldering, cleaning, and testing (AOI, X-Ray, etc.)→ PCB assembly (mounting components on the PCB surface/SMT), and finally completing the finished PCBA.
2. Q: What is the difference between SMT assembly and DIP insertion in PCBA production?
A: SMT assembly is for small, surface-mounted components (such as resistors, capacitors, chips), which are accurately mounted by a pick-and-place machine with high efficiency and small size; DIP insertion is for through-hole components (such as pin-type capacitors, connectors), which need to be inserted into PCB through-holes manually or by an insertion machine, and then fixed by wave soldering.
3. Q: What are the main testing methods for finished PCBA products?
A: Common testing methods include 3 types: AOI optical inspection (detecting component misalignment, cold solder joints, and missing solder joints), X-Ray inspection (detecting the internal soldering condition of packaged components such as BGA), and functional testing (detecting whether the overall electrical performance of PCBA meets the requirements).
